2015 MJEA Video of the Year Winner

The Missouri Journalism Education Association is pleased to announce the Video of the Year winners.

  • Hava Turner and Victoria Giessing from Kirkwood High School have been named MJEA’s Video of the Year award winners.

These student journalists submitted an impressive piece of work from this school year that was selected as the winner by a highly-qualified judging team. This is a wonderful honor for Hava and Victoria and your school and represents the high quality of your journalism and publications programs.

The MJEA student awards were designed to honor the very best in student writing, photography, design and video storytelling in Missouri by selecting one winner in each of 12 categories. The state winners will receive a special medallion and certificate in the mail soon.

MJEA is the largest state scholastic journalism organization formed to help protect and enhance scholastic journalism in Missouri. MJEA works to provide outreach and support to advisers and journalism programs across the state. The organization supports free and responsible scholastic journalism by providing resources and educational opportunities, by promoting professionalism, by encouraging and rewarding student excellence and teacher achievement, and by fostering an atmosphere which encompasses diversity yet builds unity.
